Nandani Kumari Roma is an experienced MS (by Research) graduate in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Signal Processing from IIT Kanpur. She is highly interested in the broad area of Computer Vision and Robotics, driven by the idea of learning newer technologies used for social good. Currently, Nandani is working as an Associate Software Engineer in the Data Engineering team at Innoplexus. Her responsibilities include handling automation of extraction of data from various sources, transforming and loading in the production pipeline, and addressing ad hoc analytics requests. She has also worked on feature engineering of non-English texts using NLTK library and regex along with text preprocessing for non-English texts to satisfy client needs. Nandani has 2 years of experience as a Research/Project Associate in Robotics and Computer Vision from IIIT Hyderabad and IIT Kanpur, where she mainly worked on computer vision application to mobile robots. Additionally, she has 2+ years of experience as an Assistant Manager in an Oil & Gas company. Prior to her current role, Nandani has worked as a Project Exchange Student at Ulster University, where she designed an exercise-based paradigm for stroke rehabilitation based on MEG with online feedback. She has also worked as a Research Intern at IIIT Hyderabad, where she implemented Dead-reckoning error correction on Pioneer P3DX robot using UMBmark method and implemented visual Odometry by using Stereo Parallel Tracking and Mapping (SPTAM) algorithm on a local dataset of the husky robot. Nandani's education history includes a Master of Science (MS) in Signal Processing from IIT Kanpur and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat. She also attended Kendriya Vidyalaya for her schooling. Nandani's technical skills include Computer Vision, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Mobile, Research Scientist, Web, and Edge Detection.
